Brave New World

You may have noticed we've had a little haircut.

We've got a brand new, cleaner look, but that's just the start. 

For the past few months, we've been working behind the scenes to revamp the site, and better cater to the needs of our growing community. That means you.

We've spent the last couple of years listening to the writing community in Australian and abroad, and have designed series of new features and services to cater for them.

In the near future, we'll be rolling them out as they come online. You can look forward to a brand-new, easier to use Workshop publishing tool-kit, a new, dynamic platform for our popular monthly opportunities, and an online shop for special deals on hot new titles.

Most exciting of all, we're going to be the new home for a bunch of specialist services designed to give young and emerging writers the boost they need to make their writing shine. From social media consultation with Internet Superstar Patrick Lenton, to professional mentorship from some of our brightest literary stars, whose identity we must keep under wraps for now (*Cough. Ben Law. Cough*).

There are exciting things ahead, so stay tuned. 

And, of course, we will continue to bring you the best content in and around the art, craft, and business of writing for you to enjoy every day.

Of course, all this comes at a price.

Writers Bloc is a non-profit organisation, one that runs at significant cost in order to help foster a healthier and happier writing community. We are continuing to expand, and grow into new areas in order to explore fresh ideas and challange stale ones, as well as find, nurture, and promote the next generation of great writers.

To make sure we can afford to continue our work, we've set up a community donation page on Patreon. We are asking for (and gratefully accepting) small donations. Any money we recieve will go straight back into the community, where it will be used to source resources from experts in the creative field to share with you, and to fund and develop the careers of new, exciting literary voices.

Our Patreon is a place for our community to support itself, and with your help, together we can build a stronger, more inclusive, more interesting, and most importantly, more fun writing culture in this world.
